When it isn't, forcing your team to work around someone else's assumptions gets expensive fast, just in ways that don't show up on an invoice.

Custom development is the right call only when it's actually solving a problem off-the-shelf can't — not because custom always sounds better than buying. Part of our job is telling you honestly when it isn't worth building.

When it is, we build for maintainability first. That means clear structure, reasonable dependencies, and documentation good enough that your team — or the next developer, whoever that is — can pick it up without reverse-engineering someone's clever shortcuts.
